Explore RIEGL’s NEW Topo-Bathymetric Laser Scanners

Airborne LiDAR Bathymetry (ALB) is the technology of choice for coastal mapping and inland water survey. ALB allows collecting seamless data sets that span the land/water interface, enabling high-resolution surveying of topography above and below the water surface with high efficiency.

In addition to the proven versatile RIEGL VQ-840-GL, RIEGL now introduces two new topo-bathymetric scanners:

RIEGL VQ-860-G
The NEW RIEGL VQ-860-G High Performance Topo-Bathymetric Airborne Laser Scanner offers enhanced depth penetration in surveying inland and near shore waters for even more efficiency in bathymetric applications. The compact system offers a large operational envelope with typical flight altitudes from 75 m to 600 m above the water surface, while providing high spatial resolution resulting from measurement rates of up to 100 kHz and a high scanning speed of up to 100 scans/sec.

RIEGL VQ-840-GE
With the NEW RIEGL VQ-840-GE, RIEGL expands the proven VQ-840-G series of topo-bathymetric airborne laser scanners with a compact and robust design, prepared for integration into UAVs, but also suitable for use on crewed helicopters and for integration in stabilized platforms.

The portfolio of RIEGL topo-bathymetric systems therefore provides high operational flexibility. The new scanners will be the highlights at the RIEGL booths at Remote Hydrography (taking place in Dublin from February 27-28, 2024) and Oceanology International (taking place in London, ExCel, from March 12-14, 2024). The RIEGL Team looks forward to meeting you there!
