Nikon-Trimble Co., Ltd. introduces the Nikon XF and Nikon XS mechanical total stations to expand its portfolio of solutions for mainstream surveying and construction applications.
Continuing a legacy of high-quality optics, the Nikon XF and Nikon XS mechanical total stations are packed with features that make survey work easier and faster, including an 800 meter range non-prism EDM, time-saving autofocus technology and dual full displays. The hot-swappable batteries reduce downtime and a PIN enhances security in the field. Easy to transport, handle and store, the Nikon XF and XS can stand up to the toughest worksite conditions. The mechanical total stations are ideal for quickly capturing accurate measurements and offer crisp, clear optics for sighting in bright and low-light conditions. The Nikon XF and Nikon XS are available with 1″, 2″, 3″ and 5″ accuracies.
In addition to the standard features found in the Nikon XS, the Nikon XF includes dual color touchscreen displays that run Survey Pro, Survey Basic and Layout Pro onboard. The Nikon XF is also equipped to take advantage of the optional Trimble L2P (Locate2Protect) for asset security to locate lost, stolen or missing equipment.
“While developing the Nikon XS and XF total stations our team focused on customer feedback to provide a new generation of optical instruments that further enhances productivity,” said Olivier Casabianca, general manager of Nikon/Spectra Precision. “Autofocus, a longer range EDM and full instrument control from both displays have been combined into a full featured, yet lightweight and portable package, from a supplier users can trust.”
