Trimble announced a new version of Trimble Business Center software. Version 3.80 includes the capability to integrate additional sensor data from the new Trimble SX10 Scanning Total Station and surveying equipment from a variety of manufacturers. The additional data support provides the most comprehensive integration of survey and Geographic Information System (GIS) data within one software package.
In addition, enhanced compatibility with common CAD packages dramatically reduces the time-to- project delivery by supporting efficient design and as-built verification processes throughout the project lifecycle. These added capabilities enable surveyors and geospatial professionals to standardize workflow processes, saving time and ensuring full confidence in the delivery of high-quality information for their clients.
New Scanning Module
With the new Scanning Module users can easily integrate rich point cloud and image data from the new Trimble SX10 Scanning Total Station and other industry-standard point cloud formats within familiar workflow processes. This optional module includes powerful tools to efficiently manage, view and extract quality information from point cloud data, enabling professionals to rapidly generate client deliverables with confidence.
Third-Party Data Integration
Trimble Business Center version 3.80 now supports data from other manufacturers’ survey equipment allowing geospatial professionals to integrate data across mixed fleets. With support for total stations, GNSS, scanning and UAS, users can complete their geospatial data analysis and deliverable creation using a single software package. This streamlines project delivery while reducing training time and ongoing software maintenance costs.
Customized Deliverables
Version 3.80 expands the capabilities for survey and mapping professionals with additional CAD drafting and scripting tools that reduce drafting time through the automation of workflows. Customized reporting, via an intuitive interface, provides greater flexibility and dramatically reduces time required to support regional requirements or client requests.
“Our goal is to provide value and flexibility for our customers. One way we do this is by developing quality solutions that enable surveying and geospatial professionals to efficiently integrate multiple data types in familiar and standard workflows,” said Olivier Casabianca, general manager of Trimble’s Geospatial Division. “Trimble Business Center offers complete integration of field-to- finish workflows and allows professionals to deliver information to their clients with ultimate confidence.”
With the ability to integrate new data types and further optimize information delivery, Trimble Business Center version 3.80 provides a complete and robust software package, reducing costs and allowing survey and mapping professionals to more rapidly address the needs of their clients.
