Abstracts of papers for presentation at the International Federation of Hydrographic Societies’ (IFHS) 25th symposium and exhibition to be held in Rotterdam aboard the locally-berthed former cruiseship, SS Rotterdam, from 13-16 November are now required by organisers of the event representing individual members and organisations throughout Belgium and the Netherlands, The Hydrographic Society Benelux (HSB).
Expected to attract a worldwide audience drawn from all sectors of the hydrographic and associated professions, main conference proceedings will include a dedicated session for student and graduate presentations together with contributions from developing countries. Supporting functions include a major exhibition of equipment and services in addition to specialist workshops and on-water demonstrations.
Featuring further prospective connections between the hydrographic world and adjacent disciplines, prinicipal conference issues will be wide-ranging. Key topics include Data Processing, Management & Integration, Cost-Effective Solutions, Geophysics, Subsea Surveying, Dredging & Offshore Uses, Marine Renewables, Hydrodynamics, Oceanography, Education & Training, and Future of the Hydrographic Profession.
Abstracts of up to 300 words on any of the designated topics or related issues are required by 1 March and should be forwarded to submissions@hydro17.com. Accepted authors will be notified before the end of April.
