Next-generation Geographical Information Systems to support smarter grid applications.
3-Day Conference, Exhibition and Networking Forum
20-22 November 2018 | Amsterdam, The Netherlands
The premier GIS4SmartGrid 2018 conference, exhibition and networking forum takes place 20-22 November 2018 in Amsterdam. This end-user driven, implementation focused forum draws together 120+ GIS implementation leaders and system specialists from across the European power grid sector.
This conference is being launched at a pivotal time for electrical network operators, with advancements in GIS systems forming a key part of utilities’ evolving smart-grid development. Over three days, 16+ TSOs and DSOs will share case studies exploring how they are implementing next-generation GIS solutions, integrating them with their other OT and IT systems, and providing new functionalities and support for a wide range of end users throughout their organisations. Conference themes include improving the quality and completeness of GIS data, creating bespoke, tailored solutions to meet the needs of end users, generating insightful and accessible reports and visualisations, and extending GIS support across desktop, web and mobile applications.
The conference concludes with a two-hour tutorial on the potential of open-source GIS tools for smart grid-operators. The case-study agenda is complemented by a technology innovation panel, a series of end-user round table discussions, a live demo lab of cutting-edge technologies, an exhibition of the latest products, and an evening networking reception open to all attendees.
