Dutch Startup D2WIN Becomes a Member of the Digital Twin Consortium

D2WIN, Digital Twin | Spatial Specialists announced that it has become a member of the Digital Twin Consortium (DTC), an international organization based in North America, dedicated to creating collaborative partnerships between digital-twin users and experts working in industry, government, academia and the tech sector.

D2WIN, as a member of the Consortium, will contribute its expertise and insights about the realization and use of Digital Twin with a special focus on the spatial perspective.

Harco de Jager, Managing Director of D2WIN said: “We are at the dawn of a revolution in the power and applications of the Digital Twin. By intelligently combining data and technology, we gain a better picture of our physical infrastructure and insight into the processes to be able to use and maintain it more efficiently.”

Together we face major challenges that have an impact on our physical living environment, maintenance and renewal of our current infrastructure, energy transition, appropriate housing and climate change. These tasks impose far-reaching and, in many cases, conflicting claims on our living environment and thus influence and compete with each other. The Digital Twin is essential to tackle these tasks with substantial impact.”

As defined by the Digital Twin Consortium, a digital twin is a virtual representation of real-world entities and / or processes, synchronized at a specified frequency and fidelity. Digital Twin Consortium® is The Authority in Digital Twin, a global ecosystem comprising industry, government and academia.
