Conference Programme announced for 2019 Commercial UAV Expo Europe

Organizers of the third annual Commercial UAV Expo Europe have announced the 2019 Conference Programme and initial list of confirmed presenters and panellists.

Commercial UAV Expo Europe takes place 8-10 April in Amsterdam, with pre-conference programming and workshops on Monday 8 April followed by conference programming and exhibits on Tuesday 9 April and Wednesday 10 April.

“The education strikes a balance between topics all UAS professionals need to know about, and sessions that delve deeply into UAS for specific vertical industries,” said Lisa Murray, Group Director at Diversified Communications, the event organizer.

Examples of the former are the Keynote which will provide a Global Industry Update and Market Outlook presented by Koen de Vos with the European Commission and Lorenzo Murzilli with Switzerland’s Federal Office of Aviation. Other general sessions include Plenaries on disruptive UAV technologies; smart cities & urban air mobility; safety, security and counter drone technology; and sessions on data management and machine learning/artificial intelligence.

Vertical industry sessions focus on construction & aggregates; energy & utilities; precision agriculture & forestry; public safety; surveying & mapping; transportation and infrastructure. End-user roundtables are being offered on four of these topics and are by invitation only. These will provide participants a deep dive into best practices, opportunities and threats when it comes to UAS in their respective sectors. “Not only is the content critical to these professionals, but the connections forged are priceless,” said Ms. Murray.

Additional features of the Programming are vendor-delivered Product Previews and the 2019 Drone Hero Europe contest.

The Programme was assembled by Linda McLaughlin, Conference Programme Manager, and Elly Kreijkes, Conference Chair, in cooperation with the 2019 Commercial UAV Expo Europe Advisory Board. “The Conference speakers, panelists, and moderators are comprised of end-user asset owners and industry experts who are leading the charge on UAS integration,” said Ms. Murray.

The event attracts a global audience of UAS professionals including qualified vertical industry end-users, EU leaders guiding the safe integration of UAS into the airspace, service providers, solutions pioneers, investors and more.

In addition to the extensive conference programme, Commercial UAV Expo Europe offers a trade fair featuring best-in-class drone solutions from the world’s top vendors. The event draws vertical industry end-users from across Europe, Asia, Australia the Middle East and around the world. “We’re known for our ability to deliver highly qualified vertical market buyers to our events,” said Ms. Murray. “Our beginnings in surveying and mapping events more than 15 years ago have enabled us to reach professionals in industries including process and power, utilities, mining and aggregates, civil infrastructure, inspections and more.” She added that the event also attracts international technology professionals in search of partners and acquisition targets.
