Blue Marble releases GeoCalc SDK 7.5

Blue Marble Geographics announced the immediate availability of version 7.5 of the GeoCalc Software Development Kit (SDK).

Highlights of the 7.5 version release include new projections and coordinate systems, improved interoperability with expanded import and export of geodetic parameters, and optimized search and display in the GeoCalc dialog boxes.

The GeoCalc database is comprised of over 12,000 coordinate system objects including linear and angular units, ellipsoids, geodetic datums, and coordinate reference systems. GeoCalc also contains advanced geomatic tools such as vertical datums, grid shifts, time-dependent coordinate transformation models, and the ability to generate custom best-fit transformations and custom coordinate objects of any type.

The version 7.5 release also boasts enhanced WKT, PRJ, and GeoTIFF coordinate system matching, expanded support for CTL import and export, and bulk import and export of WKT2 CRS and CT definitions.

“With the major overhaul of the North American geospatial reference framework scheduled for 2022, the time to time to begin preparing is now,” stated Patrick Cunningham, Blue Marble President. “As is evident in the release of version 7.5, the GeoCalc SDK is being continually updated and improved and will provide software developers with the tools necessary to smoothly navigate this transition.”
