Astrium, in partnership with IGN France International (IGN-FI), recently finished deploying a complete IT infrastructure comprising topographic and thematic map production lines built around a host structure designed to enable sharing and compilation of a broad spectrum of geospatial data.
Merrick Retained on a 3-Year Contract with Henrico County
Merrick & Company’s geospatial and surveying business unit was recently awarded a contract with Henrico County, VA, to collect and process digital orthophototography, planimetric mapping, and topographic products and services. The work is being done during a three year cycle and will include capturing aerial digital oblique imagery of a 244 square mile area. Having worked with Henrico County and the county’s GIS tiling infrastructure; Merrick’s knowledge of the County’s control network, coordinate system, and tile structure will ensure meeting the current and future needs of the County.
PCI awarded contract by RapidEye for its GeoImaging Accelerator Technology
PCI Geomatics, a developer of geo-imaging software and systems, has announced it was awarded a contract and has successfully delivered a GeoImaging Accelerator (GXL) Satellite processing system to RapidEye, based in Germany. The contract represents a major win for PCI Geomatics as it continues to develop and implement high speed technology for the geospatial market on a global basis.
