Avenza celebrates world-wide recognition from the IMTA

Avenza Systems Inc., producers of MAPublisher cartographic software for Adobe Illustrator and Geographic Imager geospatial tools for Adobe Photoshop, celebrates its world-wide recognition from the International Map Trade Association (IMTA) as a top producer of cartographic software and innovative technology winning the coveted ‘IMTA Global Award’ at its November conference in Bangkok, Thailand. Accepting the award with its pioneering PDF Maps app, Avenza received the sought-after honor which recognizes the best products from three international Map Trade Association Regions. It is determined only once every few years from a list of mapping industry awardees –the best of the best-- from retailers of atlases and manufacturers of globes to developers of geographic information systems.

Avenza Releases Geographic Imager 3.3 for Adobe Photoshop

Avenza Systems, producers of MAPublisher cartographic software for Adobe Illustrator and PDF Maps for Apple iOS,announces the release of Geographic Imager 3.3 for Adobe Photoshop. This release is fully compatible with Adobe Photoshop CS 5.1, which is also known as Adobe Photoshop 12.1 in Adobe CS5.5, as well as Adobe Photoshop 12.0.4 in Adobe CS5.

Esri ArcGIS 10 Now Supported by MAPublisher

Avenza Systems, producers of the PDF Maps app for iOS and geospatial plugins for Adobe Creative Suite, including Geographic Imager for Adobe Photoshop, announces updated support for Esri ArcGIS 10 geodatabases and ArcMap document (MXD) files in MAPublisher 8.4.1 for Adobe Illustrator. The latest version of this mapmaking software used to produce high quality maps from GIS data for both print and electronic distribution can use its import tools to connect to Personal, File and ArcSDE geodatabases as well as MXD files. MAPublisher can make use of a geodatabase's spatial and non-spatial relationships, subtypes and attribute domain information during the import process.

USGS Topographic Maps available for PDF Maps iOS App

Avenza Systems, producers of MAPublisher cartographic software for Adobe Illustrator and Geographic Imager spatial tools for Adobe Photoshop, announces the release of USGS (United States Geological Survey) topographic maps for use on the PDF Maps app, the first and only geospatial PDF reader for Apple iOS devices including the iPhone, iPad, and iPod Touch.
