The membership of the Open Geospatial Consortium, Inc. (OGC) is requesting comments from the public on the candidate OGC Document, "The OGC Specification Model - Writing Modular Specifications".

ESRI, provider of geographic information system (GIS) technology, announces that its Production Line Tool Set (PLTS) for ArcGIS-Aeronautical Solution (Aeronautical Solution) now enables aviation organizations to populate Electronic Terrain and Obstacle databases (eTOD). This enhancement will make it easier for International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) participating states to capture and manage obstacle and terrain data necessary for aviation maps and charts, as required by ICAO.

Mercator Suite 7, the new version of STAR-APIC's cartographic production software, will be demonstrated for the first time in the US on the STAR-APIC stand (booth 419) at the Annual Meeting of the Association of American Geographers (AAG) from March 23-27, 2009 in Las Vegas. Over 7000 visitors and delegates are expected to attend this year's event that includes over 4000 presentations and over 60 exhibitors.
