LeadDog Consulting, a provider of GIS street maps announces the introduction of their online map server. With dozens of countries online, clients can preview LeadDog’s worldwide maps. The map server is accessible from www.goleaddog.com to the Online Maps link.
The Idaho Department of Water Resources (IDWR) is implementing ESRI’s ArcGIS Server and updating its existing geographic information system (GIS) to ArcGIS 9.2 technology. This move will support IDWR’s GIS analysts in the technology and adjudication sections as well as more than 150 IDWR staff who use GIS technology to answer questions, create maps, and identify water-use activities.
ESRI UK has developed bespoke software enabling the Housing Corporation, the government’s agency for investing in and regulating housing associations, to compile and analyse data on housing stock levels and record details of rent and lettings across England. The software will also help the Housing Corporation manage its biggest ever investment programme of £3.9bn which will fund 84,000 new homes.

Leica Geosystems announced ScanStation 2, a new time-of-flight 3D laser scanner whose maximum instantaneous scan speed is a 50,000 points/second. That is more than 10 times the speed of its precursor. Leica claims this is the fastest TOF 3D laser scanner on the market. Operating speeds of competing time-of-flight 3D laser scanners typically range from 2,000 to 12,000 points/sec.
TomTom N.V. intends to make a cash offer of € 21.25 per ordinary share for Tele Atlas N.V. The Offer Price represents a 32% premium over Tele Atlas’ average closing share price for the three months prior to 20 July 2007. The Supervisory Board and Management Board of Tele Atlas support the Offer and will, when the Offer is made by TomTom, recommend the Offer to Tele Atlas’ shareholders
