OSGeo North America Announces FOSS4G North America Conference

OSGeo North America is pleased to announce the Free and Open Source Software for Geospatial - North America (FOSS4G-NA) conference to be held from April 10 to 12, 2012 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in Washington DC with confirmed keynote speaker Michael Byrne, CIO of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC).

In light of the success of last September’s international FOSS4G conference in Denver, Colorado, the newly-formed North America chapter of OSGeo, a not-for-profit organization whose mission is to support and promote the collaborative development of open geospatial technologies and data, seized upon the opportunity to organize a regional follow-up conference focusing on the North American open source geospatial community
