NovAtel Inc. Announces Revolutionary Quadruple Constellation GNSS Choke Ring Antenna
Ability to receive signals from existing & emerging satellite systems ensures the GNSS-750 delivers superior performance into the future
NovAtel Inc. (NovAtel), an original equipment manufacturer (OEM) of precise positioning technology, introduced at the ION 2008 tradeshow in Savannah, Georgia, the high performance, next-generation GNSS-750 choke ring antenna. The innovative, 3D design of the GNSS-750 enables superior low level elevation tracking, with the ability to track satellites as soon as they are visible, down to the horizon and even below. It incorporates an ultra-wideband Dorne-Margolin element and has optimized antenna gain so it can be used with most manufacturers’ geodetic receivers.
As the planned European Union (Galileo) and China (Compass) satellite systems join the existing American (GPS) and Russian (GLONASS) systems, Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) networks and reference stations will require the ability to track signals from multiple constellations. The GNSS-750 tracks all four constellations and their signals, including SBAS and L-Band signals for differential services.
