LizardTech to Showcase Free GeoViewer Application for iPad at Conferences Next Week
LizardTech, a provider of software solutions for managing and distributing geospatial content, is exhibiting at two conferences next week - the International LiDAR Mapping Forum (ILMF) at the Hyatt Regency at Colorado Convention Center in Denver in booth #203, and the Defence Geospatial Intelligence (DGI) 2012 Conference at the Queen Elizabeth II Centre in London in booth #65. Among other geospatial software products, the company will showcase its brand new free GeoViewer application for iPad, designed to view geospatial imagery and vector overlays, at both of the conferences.
The free GeoViewer application enables users to view data stored on the iPad. GeoViewer supports MrSID and JPEG 2000 formats, and includes measurement functionality as well as geolocation support.
In addition, at the ILMF Conference, LizardTech will showcase the company's innovative application for compressing LiDAR files, LiDAR Compressor software, which turns giant point cloud datasets into efficient MrSID files. LiDAR files compressed to MrSID format are easily managed resources from which derivatives can be extracted over and over again. Those not familiar with LiDAR Compressor are encouraged to attend the Basics to LiDAR workshop conducted by LizardTech's Software Architect, Michael S. Rosen. The workshop, titled "What's Our LiDAR Distribution Story," is on Wednesday, Jan. 25 from 11:00 to 12:00 p.m.
At the DGI Conference, LizardTech will be conducting demonstrations of GeoExpress software, which enables geospatial professionals to compress and manipulate satellite and aerial imagery, Express Server software for high-performance delivery and publication, and LiDAR Compressor.
