Leica Geosystems releases Leica GNSS Spider V3.2

Leica GNSS Spider V3.2 further enhances its unrivalled versatility and commitment to future proof GNSS technology. Users benefit from improved compatibility with GPS L2C and GLONASS satellite signals when using third party receivers as rover or reference. Leica GNSS Spider allows any manufacturers rover systems that follow the RTCM standards to seamlessly use both networked and single base GPS & GLONASS correction data. With new direct text messaging from the network using a standard RTCM message, rover users in the field can take advantage from direct feedback on their connection.

Be it on the reference network or on the rover side, Leica Geosystems applies the latest processing technology to ensure no biases will impact your measurements. With GPS L2C as well as GLONASS data processing any potentially possible inter-manufacturer receiver biases are correctly considered by the new processing algorithms. Ongoing research and development ensures that each new version of GNSS Spider sets new standards for Network RTK performance and reliability.

Rover Messaging Service

For the first time in Network RTK services the network operator can conveniently provide status information and messages to his clients. This features uses a standard RTCM message to transport Unicode text messages from Leica GNSS Spider to any rover user and enables the network operator to conveniently inform his clients about e.g. the status of his network, scheduled updates, new services etc.. Further Leica GNSS Spider uses this communication channel to automatically provide feedback to a rover about events affecting his connection.

GRX1200+, New Site Import from RINEX and More

Leica GNSS Spider has been further optimized allowing import of RINEX files into the application to add new reference stations. Easy drag and drop of one or more RINEX allows the operator to efficiently setup and configure his network stations. Also V3.2 adds support for the new generation of Leica GPS1200+ GNSS receivers and the new Leica AR25 3D four-constellation choke ring antenna. These many other features and optimizations in Leica GNSS Spider V3.2 offer more flexibility, better usability and extended reliability to network services.

Clear benefits

With Leica GNSS Spider Leica Geosystems offers the most advanced and versatile yet simple and efficient to use solution for GNSS Infrastructure and Network RTK. It allows network service providers to fully focus on the business of reference stations and to optimise the scope of services they offer. Their customers can increase their efficiency in the field with more signals available and getting direct feedback from the networking software through their connection.
