2011 Esri Developer Summit
The 2011 Esri Developer Summit will take place March 7–11 at the Palm Springs Convention Center in Palm Springs, California.
The Esri Developer Summit will kick off with a series of preconference seminars on topics such as Python and Esri's web and mobile APIs. These seminars will teach developers with all levels of experience how to take advantage of scripts and tools that increase work quality and efficiency. Esri software experts will lead a variety of technical sessions that cater to every skill level and development platform. Esri staff will be stationed at the Tech Support Island to explain the latest geographic information system (GIS) tools, processes, and techniques you can immediately apply to your everyday work.
The summit will also include 30 user presentations from GIS developers highlighting their successes. These presentations have been voted on by the geospatial community as the most innovative and interesting topics. The opening Plenary Session on Tuesday will feature many Esri developers talking about how to leverage the full potential of code and development platforms. Bill Clark, research vice president at Gartner Research, will give the Keynote Address on Wednesday, March 9. He will discuss the challenges of mobile development and the future direction of mobile apps and smartphone platforms. His body of research includes mobile software development, context-aware computing, and mobile consumer application platforms.
