Leica Geosystems Unveils New Fully Refurbished State of the Art UK Service Facility
Leica Geosystems, manufacturer of measuring and positioning equipment, unveils its new fully refurbished service facility at its UK headquarters in Milton Keynes. The service workshop features 60 metre internal base line, the latest computer aided diagnostics, new state of the art workstations and ESD (electro static discharge) floor tiles which will allow the service technicians to process any repairs, services and instrument calibration efficiently and effectively, minimising product downtime and maximising instrument productivity.

"The overall demand for service certificates confirming the measurement quality of new or used surveying equipment is growing, as an increasing number of surveying companies and contractors are applying for ISO 9001:2000 certification", commented Carmel Cully, Operations Manager, Leica Geosystems. The facility conforms to national quality management system certification including BS EN ISO 9002 ISO 9001:2000 certification and is regularly audited by Leica Geosystems' Swiss Technical Service professionals.
The nine person strong team of highly skilled and experienced service technicians based in Milton Keynes is complemented by a workshop in Edinburgh and four service coordinators. The service professional are supported through regular product training and stringent quality control. The service offering and customer care packages encompass all of the latest and currently supported instruments across the Geomatics, construction and rail product portfolios.
