Intergraph 2010: the Hexagon acquisition
Without doubt the biggest news during Intergraph’s User Conference 2010 in Las Vegas, was the announcement of CEO Halsey Wise and COO Reid French stepping back from the company, to give way to President and CEO Ola Rolen of Hexagon AB, while still in the last process of acquiring Intergraph.

The plenary sessions of Esri's User Conference 2010, held on monday July 12th, are online. These presentations were attended by some 15,000 people, while several professional cameras were pointed at the main stage, to provide footage for the supporting video screens. It is from this material, that Esri selected four highlights for internet TV.
Capturx for ArcGIS enables mobile teams to easily collect data on paper maps using digital pens, which automatically scan the handwriting and integrate the data into ArcGIS. Important GIS data and updates can be routed from the field through Bluetooth and cell phones for immediate sharing.

The First day of the Esri s00User Conference has ended. Keynote speaker Richard Saul Wurman spoke about his project 192021 (nineteen, twenty, twenty-one: 19 cities and 20 million citizens in the 21st century) which tries to get a hold on the phenomenon ‘City’.
Zoom Satellite to Cape Town Stadium
Cape Town Stadium is one of the 10 host venues for the 19th FIFA World Cup in South Africa. Several matches will be played at this stadium with a capacity of 70,000, the first on 11 June when Uruguay will be facing France.

Astech Introduces ProFlex 500 CORS
Ashtech introduced the ProFlex 500 CORS, an advanced, multifunctional Continuously Operating Reference Station (CORS) designed to collect, store and transmit high quality GNSS data for multiple applications, including a CORS and a field campaign receiver, for either post-processed or RTK applications.
